O's should foot the bill for The Witch

As we've been doing virtually all summer, WNST Radio will once again come to the aid of the Orioles tomorrow morning when we take extreme measures to squash the team's "Sunday curse".

We've retained the services of a real, live, breathing, practicing witch tomorrow morning. "Pixy" will appear on Thursday's edition of The Comcast Morning Show from 7am-8am and we will allow her to work her magic and get the Orioles in position to end their 13-game Sunday losing streak in Boston this Sunday.

There is, however, a small matter called, "her fee".

I'm going out of my way to HELP the team get out this funk (when clearly they can't do it themselves), so I don't think I should bear the responsibility of Pixy's stipend.

Nestor and our GM, Paul Kopelke, both think I've lost my mind and they see no reason why the station should pay for Pixy.

That leaves the Orioles.

I think they should pay.

We are, after all, working to help THEM.

Pixy's an O's fan, ironically enough, so this effort on her part comes with a certain sense of personal pride attached to it. She's very excited about being the reason the team stops losing on Sunday. But expertise always comes with a price. There are NO free rides, even in the witch industry.

I'll forward her invoice over to the O's and see if they have a line item in their budget for "witchcraft".

They'd better pay her either way.

The last thing they need is ANOTHER curse.

Tune in tomorrow morning at 7:00 am as we help the O's break out of their Sunday funk.

The things we do for our team, huh?

hi drew: i am lmfao. seriously though ;) , you are true blue, bleeding black & orange. please film her incantations, spells, chants, etc. so that us mortals may be mesmerized on wnstv. as a back-up plan, maybe an mystifying elixir, given to this sunday's starting pitcher, might do the trick? the orioles owe you big time for this favor :).

If this doesn't work let's have somebody from the Archdioses of Baltimore come over with a few gallons of holy water and bless the stadium. Couldn't hurt...

I would love to listen to this show. Unfortunately, audio internet does not work. Radio reception does not pick-up all the way out here in Carroll County. Nothing YOU can fix, I know that. If either worked, I would donate to offset some of your expenses.

Drew,

If "Pixy" works her witchcraft magic and the O's Sunday drought is reversed versus the Red Sox then the Yankees can pickup a game on Boston when the Bombers defeat the Blue Jays in Toronto!!!!!....Thanks for the help.
You should have waited until next week for the witch. With the O's out of town this week our city can't enjoy the Sunday win as much. I hate to say it but I hope they lose in Boston on Sunday. I'm going to every Sunday Home Game until they win. Its not like they are going to make the playoffs but every Sunday will feel like a playoff game. It'll be the great atmosphere we've been missing for 10 years.
