Hey Drew, my company has a tent at the AT&T and I was wondering if you could give me some advice on Congressional. I have to take a bunch of clients out there on Friday. What's the best hole on the course? Where should we all gather to watch the players? (DF: I think the best hole on the course is #6...a nice par-4 with a small pond in front of the green. There's an area there for you to watch the 6th hole and the tee-shot at the par-3 7th.)

No love for Michael Phelps, huh? Here's a local guy qualifying for the Olympics and I never hear you, Haynie or Long mention the man's name. Why not get him on the air for an interview? (DF: I think the powers-that-be here have tried to get Phelps on a bunch of times and he always has "something else going on" that day...I'll devote plenty of time to him during the Olympics...)

I love the Ravens , but with the makeup of the O-line and the schedule I fear a really bad season , what do you think? How much of a disaster would it be for Harbaugh if they went 6 and 10 , would you hear cries for Billick ?<br><br> (DF: I think the Ravens will be hard pressed to go 8-8, but the games aren't played in July. What if Big Ben tears his ACL in week #2, Derek Anderson blows out his shoulder in week #6 and Carson Palmer breaks his leg in week #9? Injuries happen...the team that gets the most (like the Ravens last year) winds up struggling and the team that gets the least (like the Ravens in '06) winds up winning. All being equal though, I say the Ravens are, at best, a .500 team.)

Out of all the guys we drafted, which one do you think will make the greatest impact instantly this season and do you think that Flacco will be a holdout at camp? (DF: I kinda think Ray Rice will wind up being a 5-6 TD guy in '08 with 600-700 yards rushing. He might be the "impact guy" out of the '08 draft class, but Flacco will eventually be the marquee pick. Hold-out? Probably not.)

Drew: Is there any possibility that Cam Cameron may be able to do something with Kyle Boller (new scheme, some coaching techniques-whatever) that Brian Billick couldn't? I mean, is it at least thinkable that Boller can be "salvaged?" I'm kinda interested in seeing what effect Cameron can have before I write this season off.... (DF: Can Cameron "fix" Boller? Sure, I think that's possible. He might not make him a Hall of Famer, but could Cam see something in Kyle that he could change and make Boller more consistent? Sure, that COULD happen. To suggest it's impossible would be naive, since Cameron is a well-respected football mind.)

MONSTER win for Crystal Palace. How shocked were you, and how do you rate their chances against the NE Revolution? (DF: I don't really follow the English Premier League anymore, but doesn't their season end in late May? Why are they playing the New England Revolution, anyway? Is the game in New England or London?)

Do you think Tiger might make a suprise visit/host to this weekend's tournament? His Dr's don't want him to fly a plane, but what about other means? It would only make it that more dramatic. (DF: No, I think he's staying home. He knows if he shows up that HE becomes the story and the winner is relegated to page 2. Tiger's a lot of things, but he's not attention-starved.)

here's a question (or 2 or 3) that possibly has no answer: What was Derrick Martin thinking? Why would he give the police the address of Ravens training camp as his address? Once he did that, why would he then deny he was the Derrick Martin who was detained? How unbelievable dumb. Would you be shocked if he was in camp with the Ravens at the end of the month? (DF: I have no idea what Derrick was thinking. It obviously wasn't one of his better moments. If I'm betting, I bet he's on the roster in training camp.)

The Orioles are very interesting these days but as the trade deadline looms in less than 30 days now, I'm wondering how this will play out. There was a vocal set of fans that wanted nothing to do with trading Bedard and Tejada and look how that has turned out. I'm sure there are some that delusionally think the team is a player or two away so if MacPhail decides to trade guys like Roberts, Huff, Payton, Millar and/or Sherrill, what do you think the fan reaction will be? Will that hurt the momentum that seems to be building in the fans returning to OPACY? (DF: I think as long as the team wins throughout July, people will be OK with a few trades at the deadline. They'll be able to say, "When we had our FULL team, we were a .500 club..." But, if, for some reason, they swoon in July and are 10 games under .500 by the end of the month, people will be saying, "It's the same old, same old...")

I agree with your comments this morning that the decision makers in Baltimore need to get off their well-padded butts and get started on a new arena to replace First Mariner. You suggested a 20,000 seater. What size is the minimum that would suffice for either an NHL or NBA team? A minors hockey team? I assume it would have to be bigger than what you are proposing. Does the tiny possibility that Baltimore could attract another pro franchise play any role at all in their decision? Some of us are still holding out hope that the sweet sound of skates on ice might be heard in the city again one day. (DF: Let's not do anything "minor league" with the new arena. Let's build a real building with 18,000-21,000 seats and see what happens from there. "Build it and they will come...")

I see your commment that the Ravens are at best a .500 team. Given that the AFC North plays the AFC South (3 playoff teams in 2007) and the NFC East (3 playoff teams in 2007), what is your projection on the number of wins needed to capture the AFC North. I say no AFC North team wins more than 10 games this year. (DF: The winner of the AFC North will be 9-7. There might be 1-2 teams with a 9-7 record, but I agree that no team will win 10 games.)
